ABSTRACT: The present study was condcuted to evaluate the efficacy of non steroidal anti-inflammatory creams and to compare with topical steroid cream using Reddy and Singh's human bioassay technique. This involves suppression of histamine induced wheal as an index of anti-inflammatory activity of a topical agent. 5 percent aspirin, 5 percentt phenylbutazone. while hydrocortisone and beclomethasone resulted in significant reduction.
