Sir,
I was very interested to read the article published by Rather and Yaseen in 2017. They described positive tin tack sign in four cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) and stated as first described them to their knowledge.[1] Tin tack sign was first time described in CL in 1934 by famous Turkish dermatologist Prof. Dr. Hulusi Behçet.[2],[3] Uzun et al. searched tin tack sign in 412 CL patients in one of the endemic areas of Turkey and they found positive tin tack sign in 42 of them in 2002.[4]
The authors may not have been able to access these articles because these publications were published in early dates or in Turkish journals and they are not available in PubMed. I am writing this letter to add this information to the current literature.
