Over last five decades, in little over 12000 pages of 200 issues Indian Journal of Dermatology has established and maintained an impregnable status in the dermatological horizon.
This anthology of articles was considered primarily to pay tribute to the founding fathers of an astonishingly high quality journal from this part of the globe and the architects and contributors who kept the proud pennant flying high.
Painstaking efforts were made to keep the vintage flavour intact. The old language, spelling and reference writing style have been kept unchanged. The original figures were scanned directly from old issues and used. To maintain the antique ambience some old announcements, letters and even some ancient advertisements have been printed. Some of the old scientific articles and references might have lost much of their relevance today. But they do have very high archival value in reflecting reminiscences of a bygone era.
This endeavor is an aide memoire of a great journey that this legendary Journal undertook in the last half of twentieth century.
